Comunidades PROMESA is a program that seeks to generate a systemic change in different communities in Mexico, by implementing a model of integral waste management based on community and collective methodologies of Circular Economy and Environmental Education.
We know that each community has its own characteristics, challenges and opportunities, that is why our objective is to create community programs of integral waste management based on the specific necessities of the location.
We developed an integral proposal that goes beyond recycling, where the waste can generate social, economic and environmental benefits for the community. Furthermore, we involve different actors during the process, seeking for their joint actions to generate a sustainable system, having into account the resources, necessities and opportunities of the location to achieve a true collective impact.
All of these actions are aligned with the environmental education programs of Grupo PROMESA, implemented in schools, companies and organizations, always attempting that all the community sectors are involved.
